Thanksgiving Episode

We here at TCTT hope that everyone has safe travels and a happy Thanksgiving this week. We've got a little something to pass the time during the journey or when Uncle Larry's ranting about millennials at the table. It's an all-new, all-awesome Thanksgiving special. Get it from iTunes (we're thankful for reviews) or HERE.
Matt is joined by Jay & Tim from The Broken Plane Podcast for this Thanksgiving spectacular. The guys watched and review 1981's "Home Sweet Home" a little-known slasher film set on the turkiest of holidays. The movie stars a young Jake "Bodies by Jake" Steinfeld as a PCP-fueled escaped mental patient who's headed for a group of folks who just want to enjoy the game and their bird. Havoc ensues. Oh, and, there's a mime. Directed by Nettie Peña.
"Mom and Dad though Metal Mime School was a waste of money. Joke's on them!"

In the early days, his program was called 'Dead Bodies by Jake.'

HOUSEKEEPING

Hey, folks,

1. All the old links to the shows on this page (even back to Ep01 The Dragon Lives Again -- oof!) have been updated to point to their new home on Libsyn, so download away.

2. Also, if you haven't already, go to iTunes and subscribe to the show. The people at Libsyn told me the move over to their service would probably spontaneously drop all of our listeners.

3. Rifftrax has partly rebuilt their iRiffs catalog, so you can still get our Bloody Pit of Horror and Invasion of the Bee Girls videos. The Curse of the Swamp Thing got lost in the shuffle and they're *still* not accepting new riffs, so you have to message me to Wild Guitar.

4. We're finally having another Thanksgiving special episode! Our guests will be Tim & Jay from The Broken Plane Podcast. They'll be talking about a Turkey Day slasher called Home Sweet Home.

THE BLOOD ISLAND SERIES

Here it is. The episode Matt's been chained to for ages. The Blood Island movies were the start of the Philippine-made cheap-o exploitation movie boom that flourished in the '70s. Before the women-in-prison (WIP) movies made by Roger Corman and company with Pam Grier, the first international hits were this drive-in horror schlock.
If you like tropical settings, terrible monsters, H.G. Lewis-style gore, and some gratuitous nudity, you are in for a treat, my friend. Direct Link
Enjoy!
Please subscribe through iTunes (everyone was unsubscribed when we switched to Libsyn recently) and leave a review.
