Thank you, Mr. Miller...
Debuting in Roger Corman films of the '50s, Dick Miller was the jovial every-man character actor for generations of moviegoers.
A personal favorite is 1959's A Bucket of Blood, directed by Corman. It's hilarious and morbid and a perfect jab at the bohemian pretensions of the Beat era. He would often reprise that character, Walter Paisley, in other film and TV appearances: Hollywood Boulevard; The Howling; Twilight Zone: The Movie; Chopping Mall; Shake, Rattle & Rock; Rebel Highway...including his last role, in the as-yet-unreleased movie Hanukkah.
Thanks for all the thrills, chills, and laughs, Mr. Miller.

Elves (w/ Kyle and Matt Mair Lowery)
We got you a little something. You should open it now. You're going to love it. Kyle returns to the show. Wait, there's more. Matt and Kyle are joined by Matt Mair Lowery to chat about his awesome new comic Lifeformed: Cleo Makes Contact. If you don't haven't yet, go get it. We'll wait...
Amazing, right?!? They make great stocking-stuffers.
We watched the 1989 Dan Haggerty movie ELVES, where old Grizzly Adams plays a chain-smoking, recovering alcoholic ex-cop/ex-store detective student-of-the-occult turned store Santa who gets mixed up in a Nazi plot to create a super race of rat, err, elf soldiers. It's weird. Get the episode from iTunes or HERE.
We at TCTT wish you all happy and safe holidays!

Thanksgiving Episode
We here at TCTT hope that everyone has safe travels and a happy Thanksgiving this week. We've got a little something to pass the time during the journey or when Uncle Larry's ranting about millennials at the table. It's an all-new, all-awesome Thanksgiving special. Get it from iTunes (we're thankful for reviews) or HERE.
Matt is joined by Jay & Tim from The Broken Plane Podcast for this Thanksgiving spectacular. The guys watched and review 1981's "Home Sweet Home" a little-known slasher film set on the turkiest of holidays. The movie stars a young Jake "Bodies by Jake" Steinfeld as a PCP-fueled escaped mental patient who's headed for a group of folks who just want to enjoy the game and their bird. Havoc ensues. Oh, and, there's a mime. Directed by Nettie Peña.

Goodbye, George
We were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of George Romero, the independent auteur director and creator of the modern zombie. His zombie films not only essentially created a new monster, but through that, gave the people of the world an amazing lens with which to look at themselves as individuals, as parts of societies, and, ultimately, as a species. He was a true visionary and a great artist. If you haven't, do yourself a huge favor and watch Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Martin. You will not be disappointed.

Andy Sidaris Podcrawl, Y'all!
Hey, gang,
Our show is joining a podcast network called The Podratic Equation. More info about the other shows will be coming soon, but to celebrate the occasion, we decided to each feature an Andy Sidaris film on our shows. A few years ago (!!!) we talked about Sidaris' ENEMY GOLD.
This time Matt talked with John Morgan and Rob Hafferman about the infamous HARD TICKET TO HAWAII, which achieved notoriety due to clips from Everything is Terrible, but the crazy of this move cannot be limited to a couple of hilarious clips. Check out all of the painful fashion, wooden acting from Penthouse pets, and really unfunny jokes. DOWNLOAD or get it from iTunes.
When you're done here, follow the podcrawl on to the next movie with The Rogue Riffers and PICASSO TRIGGER.

WILD BEASTS episode is here
I was joined by good ol' Jason Farrell and new guest Joey Cruz to discuss Franco Prosperi's WILD BEASTS from 1984. This slab of Gorgonzola falls into the "Nature strikes back" category of disaster/message/exploitation films with an ecological warning about our modern ways. Get the episode on iTunes or HERE.

WILD BEASTS (1984)
On our next episode, we'll be talking about Italy's WILD BEASTS. There's a nice copy on YouTube that looks great, but it's in Italian and you know we need to have that dubbing. Here's the YT clip we'll be discussing.

The Amazing, Fantastical Technicolor SUBSPECIES Pod-Crawl begins here
The guys at Rogue Riffers had the bright idea to do a podcrawl through a film series with other like-minded psychotronic podcasts. We're honored to be included. The series to watch is Subspecies, from Charles Band's Full Moon Features. Matt had to fly solo on this one, so it's a short episode to set up the series for the rest of the crawl.
Here's how to listen:
Subspecies - We kick it off here or you can download it from iTunes
Bloodstone: Subspecies II - from Rogue Riffers
Bloodlust: Subspecies III from Bad Movie Night
Subspecies 4: Blood Storm from Wax On Wax Lyrical

Ep50 - Robo Vampire
Back to our regularly scheduled mayhem...
TCTT is back, folks! To kick off the return, Matt talked to Joe and special guest Zack Kruse about an odd little duck Zack discovered: 1988's ROBO VAMPIRE, a Robocop rip-off with some HK horror twists. This movie looks like it escaped from 12-year-old kid's fevered dreams and must be seen to be believed.
Get the new episode from iTunes or from HERE.
Then head over to Bandcamp to get the new Minders album, featuring TCTT's own Joe Kincher! It's the band's first album in 10 years and it was well worth the wait. Highly recommended!

DON'T OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS (you can open this now, though)
Well, the BLOODY APES episode has been indefinitely postponed. If only someone would pay us to watch and chat about movies! Well, stiff upper lip and all that...
Now for your present (or pressie, as they would say in this movie): We got you a Christmas episode! Surprised? I knew you would be. Does it fit? Great! It's DON'T OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS, a nasty little piece of work from the 1984 England. Someone's murdering Santas in London. Matt is joined by Jason Farrell and Gordie Adams (Gordcast) for this yuletide treat.
Will New Scotland Yard and the UK version of David Cassidy as a street flautist be able to get to the bottom of this grisly mystery? Will there be boobs? Sort of and yes! HERE'S THE LINK

Wisconsin's answer to Flashdance: BLOODBEAT!
Available through iTunes or for download here.
Scott and Matt discuss this muddled slasher, Samurai, Wisconsin deer hunting flick. Can you explain what happened to us? We'd love to hear your explanation!
NEXT UP: Scott is very excited about 1986's LUCKY SEVEN. I hope you have fluoride, because this thing looks sickly sweet and cute and annoying as all hell.

WE HAVE BEEN REBORN!
Matt and Scott are joined by Matt's super-cool neighbor Justin to discuss THINGS (Canada, 1989). You can get the episode on iTunes or from here (right-click and Save As).
This movie would leave most casual viewers shivering, huddled in a blanket next to an ambulance, drinking tea or cocoa, so it was nice that Justin was not catatonic and was able to show us on the doll where this movie touched him. Mere words cannot describe this one, folks. It's a low-budget film made by horror fans, but beyond that, it's psychoactive psychotronica all the way. Plots are jettisoned, time has no meaning, porn stars deliver the news from another dimension...it must be seen to be believed.
Unfortunately, this movie is not available for free online (unless you really know how to look), but we wholeheartedly agreed this is worth the ticket price...plus, after you've seen it, you can show it to your friends and enjoy their reactions!
Next up: we have some '70s dreck for you featuring Tony Curtis & Burgess Meredith! It's the infamously bad The Manitou: A psychic's girlfriend finds out that a lump on her back is a growing reincarnation of a 400 year-old demonic Native American spirit.
Sounds fun, right?! Plus, it's from the director of the blaxploitation Exorcist rip-off Abby!

BOARDINGHOUSE
The Boardinghouse episode is now available. You can get it through iTunes or download it from HERE (right-click & 'save as'). Enjoy!
Next up is a little Italian cheese from the wave of Raiders of the Lost Ark rip-offs. This film was also made during the 3-D movie boom of the early '80s. We're watching it in 3-D and you can, too! What, you don't have RED/CYAN glasses? This manufacturer will send a free pair for the cost of a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) and a stamped envelope to send it in. FREE 3-D GLASSES!

The Chooper'll Git Ya!
Kyle's back and just in time for a gem from psychotronic auteur Ray Dennis Steckler (doing business here as 'Wolfgang Schmidt' and 'Sven Christan'). Using friends and family and a budget of about $500, Steckler tells a tale of desolation, hopelessness, doom, and a pony named Peanuts. Carol Brandt (played by his then-wife Carolyn Brandt) returns home from...wherever she was...to claim her inheritance: a ranch house with a shack and a water tower. Trouble is, the house has a 150-year-old history of murder and a local businessman wants her to sell.

Ep23 - The Gore Gore Girls
On our newest episode, Matt, Kyle, & Scott review 1972's The Gore
Gore Girls, the story of a smug, effete criminologist who is paid to
solve a series grisly murders and even grislier mutilations of exotic
dancers. Skipping soundtracks, gratuitous "nudie" dancing,
crude-yet-disturbing mutilations and wicked bad acting are the
highlights, er, lowlights of this movie.

Enemy Gold...and next at bat!
We had way too much fun discussing Andy Sidaris' bullet-n-boob fest ENEMY GOLD. Please give it a listen and tell us what you think: Libsyn (Right-click to download). You can also find it on iTunes (P.S. we'd love for you to leave a review of the show there, too). Enjoy!
NOTE: We had an issue with our iTunes feed, but it has been corrected. The episode should be available there now, too.
Next up: Sir Herschell Gordon Lewis' (a.k.a. "The Godfather of Gore") 1972 splatter-sleaze delight THE GORE GORE GIRLS.
A word of warning, The Gore Gore Girls contains lots of crude violence. It's neither suitable for work or for watching with your family. The FX are juvenile, but still disturbing.
